Submission Guidelines

• Abstracts must be original work and not have been published elsewhere.

• All submissions will be considered for either an oral or poster presentation. If you have a preference this can be specified during this upload process however, the abstract review panel and meeting organisers cannot guarantee such requests will be accommodated.

• Successful abstracts will be printed in the online journal Neuro-oncology: https://academic.oup.com/neuro-oncology

• All submitted abstracts will be scored by a review panel blinded to the submitting authors, successful abstracts will be accepted either as an oral presentation or a poster presentation. The submitting author will be notified of the review decision approximately four weeks following the closing date.

• Submissions should be a maximum of 300 words (including max. 20 words for the title).

• Submissions should be subdivided and use the following section headings: 

  • Introduction

  • Method

  • Results

  • Conclusions

• Abstracts should not cite references in accordance with the Manuscript Preparation Instructions given on the Neuro-oncology website (https://academic.oup.com/neuro-oncology).

• No tables, graphs or illustrations will be accepted with abstracts.

• Please check your abstract for errors in spelling, grammar or fact, as the abstract review panel will not correct these.

• Please pay close attention to these guidelines, as abstracts not conforming to the required format will automatically be rejected.​
