Ms Kim Grove

Kim Grove is the Lead Neurosurgical and Neuro-Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist at Queen’s Hospital, Romford. She has over 20 years’ experience as a Neuro-Oncology CNS and has been instrumental in the development and expansion of both the Neuro-Oncology and wider Neurosurgical CNS services at BHRUT.

Kim and her team are involved across the entire patient pathway, from initial referral and pre-assessment through to inpatient care, post-operative review, and discharge. She plays a key role in delivering results and supporting patients and their families throughout treatment, follow-up, and, when required, palliative care.

She has played an integral role in developing both oncological and benign/skull base nurse-led services. These include nurse-led histology results clinics, a 30-day post-discharge review clinic, weekly meningioma and skull base surveillance clinics, a weekly steroid review service, as well as Holistic Needs Assessment (HNA) and  oral SACT clinics and most recently the implementation of a Pre-Hab CNS assessment clinic.

Kim also leads neuro-oncology chemotherapy education and co-runs a highly successful monthly brain tumour support group. In addition, she contributes to neurosurgical and oncology education through teaching sessions at a local university.
